JOIN US FOR A LEISURELY, SELF GUIDED AFTERNOON OF PEDALLING ACROSS PADDOCKS, AMONGST LOCAL VINEYARDS AND THROUGH OLIVE GROVES ON OUR TOP QUALITY BIKES.
Take your time, sample boutique wines and olive oils, and linger at our special picnic spots along the way. Based within the leafy groves of Loop Line Olives, 5 minutes north of Masterton and 1½ hours north of Wellington on the Classic NZ Wine Trail, visitors cycle cross country, meandering amongst the five vineyards and olive groves nearby. The wineries and olive groves are all boutique, family owned operations and visitors will experience first hand the eclectic personalities and behind the scene realities of producing award winning wines and oils in the Masterton winegrowing area.
March Hare Cycling provide an easy to follow map and well marked route, with a total distance cycled just over 5km. Although the experience could be completed in as little as 2 hours, most visitors prefer to stretch it over half a day (approx 4-5 hours).
Cost is $65 per person and includes hire of top quality bikes and helmets, a picnic of local produce, route map, and exclusive access across private farmland and between vineyards. Maximum of 20 cyclists.
